Matrix International Academy is British Cirruculum School equipped with all of the state of the art facilities to cater for over 2000 students aged between 1 yer to 16 years.

At MIA, we strive to provide the best for our students in academics, morals, recreation etc. so as to make learning not only simple but meaningful. Thus the teaching of all subjects is simplified and directly connected to the reality of life in its entire ramification.

Our History

The Nursery, Primary and Secondary school opened on the 19th of September, 2016 and they are located at Ashaka Road F .C.E RoundAbout, Gombe, Gombe State.

MATRIX International Academy is a co-educational nursery, primary and secondary school for children between the ages of 1 and 18 years.

The purpose-built campuses comprise of an Early Years department of the Little Tots, Playgroup, Nursery and Reception classes (aged 1+ to 4+ years).

Years 1 to 6, the Science and Computer laboratories, the Library and Staff offices are set on the ground floor of Shehu Usman Abuhakar, which include various play and sports facilities.

The Secondary School is set in Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo Block, in a state-the-arts building complex which includes dedicated play and sports facilities and a pool. The clinic, the library, The Music studio, Arts studio, Staff offices and the Science and Computer laboratories are all set on the ground floor. Our boarding house provides comfortable accommodation for at least 200 students.


Matrix International Academy is a school with a hybrid curriculum (Nigerian and British). It can best be described as a non-profit organization. The school fees are second to none with the standard acquired academically and otherwise.


The ultimate responsibility for policy-making at MIA is vested in the Board of Trustees comprising of seven (7) members who represent a diversity of talent and knowledge.

Assessment is an integral part of a MIA educational style. At MIA, we believe that all assessments serve to help us fulfil our Mission and that the skill sets achieved and knowledge gained in each discipline are all essential milestones along a child's educational journey They are not the ends in and of themselves but means for our greater goal of guiding our children in their development toward a meaningful adulthood.
