I am delighted to welcome you to Matrix International Academy. I hope that by navigating through our rich blend of academic resources you will be able to discern and gain good insights into life at MIA and the lives of those who teach, work and learn here. Students, and staff have worked together to experience first-hand our core values and beliefs about the function of primary school in the growth and development of young children to young people ready and prepared for the demands of living well and successfully in society. Good relationship throughout the school is fundamental to positive ethos. School is more than a place for lesson delivery; it fosters and encourages challenge, ambition and drive, and it teaches values such as respect, tolerance, honesty, trust and friendship. At Matrix International Academy these values, including hard work, good behaviour, valuing citizenship and being good citizens, are at its heart. These principles inform our school's vision statement:

To create a conducive environment where character and learning complements each other.

It is our belief that every child can do amazing things, and it's our duty to aid the child to achieve that potential with an outstanding pedagogy of teaching and learning. With an attractive education, children have the freedom to choose their own futures. Apart from parents at home, teachers are the most important people in children's lives. It is greatly important that we work together to support each other in making sure your children get the best possible education. At Matrix International Academy, we offer relevant, exciting, broad and balanced curriculum through which children are encouraged to be independent thinkers, problem solvers, and are capable of making informed and responsible choices about their learning. Learning is supported and enriched through a wide range of experiences including visitors to the school, residential trips, historical, scientific and geographical visits, music, sport and performing arts. We take into account; the skills of Communication, Numeracy and Literacy to be fundamental to our learning and we work hard to continue improving our philosophy, standards and accomplishments. I feel humble and privileged to lead a school with such talented, skilled and deeply committed staff that are united as a team to work for the benefit of your children. One of my favourite moments of the job is the time I spend with the children and with their class teachers and carers. I enjoy saying hello to everyone at the beginning and end of the day, and I wish to continue to strengthen the partnership between home and school in order to ensure your children are happy and learning well to fulfil their potential. If you need to discuss a particular matter with me, I will be happy to do so. We listen to views of our pupils and parents and use them to help sharp the strategic direction of the school.

Thank you and God bless.
